[ Teaching Philosophy ]

Growing up with an enduring curiosity about the world around me, I have always asked questions to learn more and to provoke my imagination toward discovery. That curiosity translated into a love for giving and sharing knowledge — and ultimately shaped my passion for teaching as an occasion to connect with students and increase awareness of the world around them.

My philosophy of teaching has developed from my experiences as a learner, a coach, and a practitioner. I strive to create a learning environment where all students feel that their differences are valued and respected, have equitable access to learning opportunities, and are supported to learn to their full potential.

Three key principles guide my teaching practice:

Student Engagement to Support Learning
Engagement is essential in delivering a meaningful session. I reflect on student feedback to enable a learning experience rather than mere instruction — creating an environment that incubates ideas for innovation. I foster two-way communication, encourage active participation through discussion and brainstorming, and provide office-hour channels for detailed dialogue and feedback.
Experiential Learning
In a fast-moving environment, the ability to adjust and realign resources is a skill every student must develop. I equip students with hands-on experience through labs, discussions with industry experts, and guest speakers from outside academia — enabling them to interpret current literature, connect theory to practice, and apply knowledge to meaningful real-world issues.
Instructional Coaching
Creating awareness of a concept is more effective than simply teaching it. Using instructional coaching, I build relational trust through effective communication, connect students with the right resources to answer their curiosity, and enhance reflection practices that build a deeper dimension for knowledge. Over time, these strategies become internalized — and when enough people are engaged in this work, it cultivates a lasting culture of reflection and dialogue.
